The Top 10 things you need to consider when choosing your next interconnect voice management platform

Companies often twist themselves in knots trying to figure out what criteria they should use to make the right decision when selecting a major tool set.  When it comes to interconnect voice management platforms, because of its wide audience of users, telecommunications carriers are particularly prone to overanalyzing and falling into the trap of paralysis by analysis. But it needn’t be the case. In fact, as it turns out, the selection criteria for choosing the right solution is pretty short. We identified 10 items that can virtually guarantee that a carrier company will choose the right solution.

 Here they are:

  1. Does the vendor have the set of features/capabilities that meet your core needs?… not all of them, but the core ones?

  2. Does the vendor have demonstrated performance in delivering these solutions?

  3. Who are the customers that the vendor can provide as references that are similar to your organization in size, complexity, and need?

  4. What is the reputation of the vendor?

  5. Are they domain experts in the specific area?

  6. What is the price/investment requirement?  Does it meet my investment goals and affordability restrictions?

  7. What is the ROI on the investment?

  8. What is the risk associated with selecting the vendor?

  9. What are the intangible benefits associated with the vendor?

  10. Do you “like” them?  Do you find them to be an organization you want to associate and do business with going forward?

That is it. No list of 100 or even 1,000 items. All the important, relevant, criteria is right here. So, the next time you are evaluating and selecting a new solution (whether it be big or small), start with the ones above. You can always add more if you want, but if use these to start we know you’ll end up with the right solution.
