Good to Great

Almost everyone has heard of the famous book, “Good to Great” by Jim Collins . It’s a fascinating business book that emphasizes what makes great companies great.

We’ve all heard that “good is the enemy of great” and vice versa.

What GCS has learned through the last 10 years is that achieving good is an accomplishment and can offer a company a level of success, but market dominance (think Apple) requires achieving greatness. We believe that there is a binary choice between pursuing “good” and pursuing “great”. Companies that choose good are sacrificing the potential to become great.

How does this relate to interconnect voice?

Well, here’s how. Upgrade your interconnect voice platform. Don’t use yesterday’s technology to manage today’s interconnect voice business. Why would you do that? Why would you choose an inferior solution because you don’t want to invest in what you believe is a declining, less important industry? Because you think the market is declining? Or interconnect voice is no longer a priority in your organization?

Well, we think that’s a short-sighted view. Interconnect voice has been dying for the last 10 years, and yet, it’s still relevant, and in many cases strategic.

Our customers and prospects have examined, or are examining, what they can do to improve their interconnect voice business. We commend them for that insight. They recognize that today’s interconnect voice platforms offer them capabilities and benefits that they never realized. From real-time, call-by-call routing, to dynamic QoS, to alarming and intelligence never before realized.

So, what do you want to be…a “Good” company or a “Great” Company?
